Write for us

We welcome pitches that examine how stories are told, translated, shared or reimagined across languages and borders. A strong proposal is specific, gives readers a clear question to follow and treats its subject with care rather than claiming to speak for an entire tradition.

What to propose

Send a concise outline for an original article on story form, translation, oral storytelling, retellings or reading across contexts. Name the central question, the angle you would take and what a general reader would understand by the end. We favour distinct subjects over broad surveys and avoid pitches built on unsupported claims or sweeping cultural generalisations.

What makes a good pitch

Explain why the subject is worth a closer look, what material or examples would anchor the piece, and where uncertainty or differing interpretations matter. Tell us about any relevant connection or interest that could affect how the proposal is read. Do not send confidential material or assume a proposal is accepted until we reply.

Where to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a working title, a short outline and a brief note about your approach. We cannot promise publication or a response to every proposal.
